Jacksonville State defeats Tennessee Tech 55-28

Nov 14, 2009 - 11:27 PM JACKSONVILLE, Ala.(AP) -- Ryan Perrilloux scored five touchdowns and finished with 306 yards of total offense in Jacksonville State's 55-28 win over Tennessee Tech on Saturday.

Perrilloux opened the scoring on a 48-yard run early in the first quarter and finished with a career-high 103 yards rushing.

The Gamecocks (7-3, 5-1 Ohio Valley Conference), who scored on their final seven possessions, took a 48-14 lead on a 48-yard run by Jamal Young with 7:03 left in the first quarter.

Jacksonville State rushed for a season-high 355 yards and finished with 584 yards on 70 plays.

Perrilloux was 12-of-22 for 233 yards and three touchdowns as the Gamecocks won their third straight game.

The Golden Eagles (5-5, 4-3) were led by Lee Sweeney with 118 yards on 8-of-11 passing. Tennessee Tech's Henry Sailes rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.
