Texas State defeats Southern Utah 42-28

Sep 26, 2010 - 2:55 AM SAN MARCOS, Texas(AP) -- Tyler Arndt threw a touchdown pass and ran for two more scores Saturday night to lead Texas State to a 42-28 victory over Southern Utah Saturday night.

Karrington Bush ran for 93 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries for the Bobcats (3-1).

Arndt was 15 of 19 for 221 yards, including a 33-yard TD pass to Darius Bolden that put Texas State ahead to stay at 14-7 midway through the second quarter.

Brad Sorensen threw for three touchdowns and 352 yards for Southern Utah (1-3). He was 29 of 49 and was intercepted once. Austin Minefee had 102 yards rushing and a touchdown on 14 carries for the Thunderbirds.
