Brackett leads Columbia past Princeton 42-14

Oct 2, 2010 - 8:12 PM NEW YORK (AP) -- Sean Brackett tied a Columbia record with five touchdown passes in a 42-14 win over Princeton on Saturday.

Bracket was 18-for-24 passing for 273 of the Lions' 528 total yards of offense.

Columbia (2-1, 1-0 Ivy League), which fell behind 7-0 early in the second quarter answered with 35 straight points, including 21 in the second quarter. It marked the first time the Lions won two consecutive games over Princeton in the 79-game series.

Andrew Kennedy had seven catches for 148 yards and two touchdowns, including a 40-yard score with 13:20 remaining for the Lions. Kennedy and Brackett also hooked up on a 7-yard score for a 21-7 lead with 6 seconds left before halftime.

Nick Gerst added 124 yards on 17 carries for the Lions.

Trey Peacock led the Tigers (1-2, 0-1) with 125 yards on 11 catches.
