North Dakota 17, South Dakota 27

Oct 2, 2010 - 11:29 PM VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) -- Dante Warren threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns, including a 65-yard connection with Jeremy Blount, to lead South Dakota past North Dakota 27-17 on Saturday.

Warren's scoring throws all came in the first half, giving the Coyotes (3-2, 1-0 Great West) a 21-3 lead over the Fighting Sioux (2-3, 0-1) at halftime.

Will Powell snagged the other two TD catches for the Coyotes and finished with 72 yards receiving. Blount finished with 94 yards receiving.

North Dakota's Jake Landry tried to lead his team to a second-half comeback with two touchdown throws, one each to Greg Hardin and Chris Anderson. He ended 172 passing yards overall.

But the Coyotes' Kevin Robb kept North Dakota at a safe distance by nailing two field goals in the half.
