Jackson's 2 TDs lift Lamar to 14-0 victory
Oct 10, 2010 - 2:42 AM BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) -- Marcus Jackson caught touchdown passes of 47 and 58 yards from Andre Bevil and Lamar defeated Langston 14-0 Saturday night.Jackson finished with three catches for 112 yards and Octavious Logan rushed for 96 yards on 12 carries for the Cardinals (3-3).
Stephen Kemp caught seven passes for 122 yards to lead NAIA Langston (3-2), which missed two field goals and had a third attempt blocked.
Lamar drove 80 yards for a TD on its opening possession, but didn't score again until Jackson and Bevil hooked up on a 58-yard catch and run with 7:38 remaining in the game.
Bevil finished 14 of 25 for 204 yards and two interceptions.
Langston's Chad Miller was 16 of 33 passing for 228 yards.
