Valentino throws 2 TDs, Dayton beats Butler 33-13

Oct 16, 2010 - 8:27 PM INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Steve Valentino threw for two touchdowns and 208 yards and Dayton beat Butler 33-13 Saturday.

The Flyers (6-1, 4-0, Pioneer League) finished with 349 total offense yards to Butler's (3-4, 1-3) 348 yards.

Valentino connected with Jordan Boykin on an 11-yd TD pass, capping a 5-play, 56-yard drive in the first quarter. He ran for a 2-point conversion in the third quarter after throwing a TD pass to Anthony Papp.

Valentino also led the Flyers on the ground, finishing with 74 rushing yards.

Dan Jacob and Brian Mack each ran for a touchdown, and Nick Glavin kicked two field goals.

David Lang kicked two field goals for the Bulldogs, starting with a 41-yarder in the first quarter. His second was a 38-yarder in the third.

Matt Kobli also ran for a touchdown.
