Stony Brook beats Coastal Carolina 38-28

Oct 24, 2010 - 3:04 AM CONWAY, S.C. (AP) -- Miguel Maysonet rushed for 193 yards and three touchdowns Saturday night as Stony Brook held on for a 38-28 win over Coastal Carolina.

Maysonet rushed for 168 yards on 13 carries in the first half, scoring on 4-, 5- and 31-yard runs as the Seawolves (3-4, 2-0 Big South Conference) jumped to a 31-0 lead. He also had a 78-yard run to the Coastal Carolina 2 that set up Brock Jackolski's 2-yard touchdown run.

Maysonet's second score was set up by a fumble recovery by Roosevelt Kirk at the Coastal Carolina 19.

The Chanticleers (2-5, 1-1) scored with 4:12 left in the first half on a 1-yard run by Zach MacDowall, and pulled within 31-21 in the third quarter on a 1-yard run by Aaron Jones and Aramis Hillary's 24-yard pass to Marquel Willis that capped an eight-play, 92-yard drive.

Jackolski scored on a 6-yard run with 5:02 left.
