Robert Morris defeats Duquesne 34-11

Oct 30, 2010 - 8:13 PM MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (AP) -- Myles Russ had two touchdowns and Robert Morris defeated Duquesne 34-11 to extend its winning streak to seven on Saturday.

The Colonials (7-1, 6-0 Northeast Conference) trailed 3-0 early but scored 27 straight, including 21 points in the second quarter, in their 12th win in the last 13 games.

Jeff Sinclair started the scoring for Robert Morris on a 9-yard run with 11:45 left in the second quarter and added a 5-yard score late in the same period.

After a 3-yard punt return by Taylor Evans, Sinclair found Shadrae King from 32 yards for a touchdown and a 27-3 lead 21 seconds before halftime.

Sinclair was 10-for-20 passing with 113 yards, and Russ had 154 yards on 30 carries.

The Colonials had 355 yards of offense, compared to 191 by the Dukes (5-4, 3-3).

Sean Patterson was 10-for-19 with one interception, 80 yards and a touchdown for Robert Morris.
