Bowling Green defeats Central Michigan 17-14

Oct 30, 2010 - 11:17 PM MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) -- A 1-yard touchdown run by Jordan Hopgood with 21 seconds remaining lifted Bowling Green to a 17-14 victory against Central Michigan on Saturday.

The Eagles (2-7, 1-4 Mid-American Conference) drove 59 yards in seven plays to the winning score after recovering a fumble by Paris Cotton, who rushed for 111 yards on 23 carries for Central Michigan (2-7, 1-5).

Willie Geter rushed for 103 yards on 26 attempts for Bowling Green, which won at Central Michigan for the first time since 2004. Kamar Jorden had nine receptions for 92 yards.

The Chippewas took a 14-10 advantage 22 seconds into the fourth quarter, when Avery Cunningham returned an interception 63 yards for a touchdown.
