Duquesne to visit Georgia Southern in 2014
May 10, 2013 - 4:12 PM Statesboro, GA (Sports Network) - Georgia Southern football will host Northeast Conference member Duquesne in 2014 when it moves up to the FBS level.Georgia Southern announced the Sept. 20 matchup on Friday - the first ever between the programs - while also announcing its other non-conference games, each against an FBS opponent: at North Carolina State (Aug. 30), at Georgia Tech (Sept. 13) and at Navy (Nov. 15).
The six-time FCS national champion Eagles will leave the Southern Conference for the Sun Belt Conference next year.
The 2014 Sun Belt schedule will be released by the conference next year. Georgia Southern's game with LSU in Baton Rouge for 2014 will be rescheduled for another season.
