Appalachian State QB Londry-Jackson expects to play next game
Sep 1, 2013 - 10:28 PM Boone, NC (Sports Network) - Appalachian State quarterback Jamal Londry- Jackson said he expects to play in the Mountaineers' home opener next Saturday after being knocked out of their first game. The senior, a Walter Payton Award candidate, told The Sports Network on Sunday that he hit the turf hard several times during the first half of ASU's season- opening loss at Montana Saturday night and a pinched nerve in his neck caused his left arm to go limp for a short period of time.
Londry-Jackson was taken out of the game late in the first half and did not return to action. ASU went on to lose the meeting of perennial FCS powers, 30-6.
Londry-Jackson said he expects to play against North Carolina A&T next Saturday.
"I will be ready for this upcoming week," he said.
