Bethune-Cookman rolls past FIU

Bethune-Cookman never trailed FIU while racking up 349 rushing yards and winning, 34-13, Saturday night.

Anthony Jordan rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown to fuel Bethune-Cookman (3-0), ranked 23rd in The Sports Network FCS top 25. Cary White rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns, while quarterback Quentin Williams added 69 yards and one score on the ground.

Tim Burke scored on a 92-yard interception return on the first play of the fourth quarter to push Bethune-Cookman's lead to 34-7.

FIU, from the Sun Belt Conference, fell to 0-3.

Earlier Saturday, unranked Fordham tripped Temple, 30-29, for the day's first FCS win over an FBS opponent.
