Rhode Island sets future FBS matchups
May 22, 2015 - 7:08 PM Kingston, RI (SportsNetwork.com) - Rhode Island football is preparing to open the 2015 season at Syracuse.The CAA Football program also has set future dates with three other FBS-level opponents.
After the Rams go to Syracuse to open the 2015 season on Sept. 4, they have contracted to play at Kansas in 2016, Central Michigan in 2017 and Connecticut in 2018. The Kansas and Central Michigan games will mark first-ever meetings between the programs.
URI finished 1-11 last year in coach Jim Fleming's first season with the FCS program.
