Rutgers LB Maddox-Williams tears ACL, out for season

Aug 3, 2017 - 6:01 PM Rutgers linebacker Tyreek Maddox-Williams will miss the entire 2017 season after sustaining a torn ACL during a non-contact drill in Tuesday's practice.

Maddox-Williams recorded 47 tackles and a half-sack in nine games last season as a freshman. His top performance came in a 58-0 loss to Ohio State on Oct. 1, in which he notched a season-high 11 tackles.

Maddox-Williams, who is listed at 6-foot, 232 pounds, had missed spring practice while recovering from shoulder surgery.
