USC DE Rector suffers broken hand

Oct 27, 2017 - 8:30 PM USC sophomore defensive end Christian Rector suffered a broken hand in practice and will miss multiple weeks, according to coach Clay Helton.

Rector will require surgery to repair the break, so Helton didn't want to place a definitive timetable on his return.

"We'll see how that goes after the surgery," Helton told reporters.

Rector suffered the injury during Wednesday's practice.

Rector leads the Pac-12 with 6.5 sacks. He has 32 tackles (10 for losses) and two forced fumbles.

The Trojans play at Arizona State on Saturday.
