With just one blemish on their record and a game against #8 Oklahoma still looming, the #10 Okie State Cowboys very much feel in control of their destiny as far as the Big 12 goes. Unfortunately, for the Horned Frogs, the season has been bad enough to see 20+ year head coach Gary Patterson removed from his post, and the role of spoiler is likely all that’s left.

Overview 

Coming into Saturday in the top 10 in the nation in total yards allowed (277), rushing yards allowed (4), and points scored (16.3), the story of his Cowboy’s team starts and ends with its defense. The last two times we saw them on the field, they held their opponents to just three points per game.

On the offensive side of the ball, Spencer Sanders has quietly been one of the most efficient QBs in the country as of late, throwing for a touchdown to interception ratio of 7:1 over his last three with a QB Rating of 130 or higher in each of the contests as well.

Things have gone from bad to worse for the visiting Horned Frogs, losing five of six during the middle part of the season as Patterson was ultimately shown the door. The last time we saw them on the field was their only real bright spot, a 30-28 win over rival Baylor as 7-point underdogs.

In this one, I like for a focused Cowboys team who feels like they left a lot of points on the field last week at WVU to get their form back and put up a monster number on this reeling foe.
