Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Wisconsin Badgers Odds & Game Pick (2021)
Nov 19, 2021 - 11:16 PMIt’s been another year of disappointments for the Nebraska Cornhuskers as head coach Scott Frost appears to have escaped again with his job. For the #15 Wisconsin Badgers, a slow start has turned into sixth straight wins as they now sit firmly in control of their own destiny in the Big Ten West.
Let’s take a closer look at this Big Ten West showdown to see where the value remains.

Overview
Since starting the season 1-3, the Badgers have rattled off six straight wins and are seemingly getting better each and every week. Now tied at the top of the Big Ten West with Iowa, the Badgers still need to win their final two games to confirm their place in the Big Ten title game. While their offense has been decent behind QB Graham Mertz and a strong rushing attack, their defense deserves the accolades.
To this point in the season, they rank #1 in total yards allowed (216), #2 passing yards allowed (155.7), and #2 in points allowed (14.6). You have to go all the way back to their October 23rd game at Purdue to find the last time they gave up more than seven points, as over their past three they are averaging 5.7 points allowed per game.
For the visiting Cornhuskers, a 3-2 start has been followed by four straight losses, most recently to the Ohio State Buckeyes back on November 6th. Senior Quarterback Adrian Martinez has led this offense to 459 yards of offense per game, and needs just 250 yards to become Nebraska’s all-time passing leader.

Trends
- Under 8-1 in Cornhuskers L9 when in the underdog role
- Over 7-2 in L9 head-to-head meetings
Bottom Line
With blood in the water, the Badgers will be going for their eighth straight win over the Cornhuskers Saturday in Madison and I think they get the job done accordingly. I do think, however, that it won’t take many points to get there.
In addition to the stellar defense of Wisconsin that we mentioned, the Cornhuskers are allowing just 20.9 points per game as well and should be able to hold their own against an offense they are very familiar with.
Pick: Under 42
