Wednesday Night Fun Belt action is back for the second week in a row, as we now head to Boone, NC for what will be a cold night of football. For the home Appalachian State Mountaineers, things have gotten off to a rocky start following a strong couple of seasons, coming into this one 3-3 and 1-2 in the conference. The last time we saw them on the field was their worst performance to date, losing 24-36 to Texas State as 19-point favorites.

For visiting Georgia State, an 0-4 start has been followed up with two straight wins, most recently over in-state rival Georgia Southern two weeks ago 41-33. Led by a stable of running backs, this Georgia State team has turned into one of the most efficient on the ground in the country, averaging 234.3 yards per game on the ground.

I like for the ground game to be enough to keep this one.
