Jags use late rally to get past Falcons

Aug 20, 2011 - 3:48 AM Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - Luke McCown threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Armon Binns in the fourth quarter, as the Jacksonville Jaguars scored 12 unanswered points Friday to beat the Atlanta Falcons 15-13 in a preseason game.

Josh Scobee kicked three field goals, including two in the third quarter to start the 12-0 game-ending run. One of the kicks was from 54 yards.

David Garrard played three series for the Jaguars, throwing for 99 yards and an interception on 7-of-12 passing, while Falcons starter Matt Ryan was 7- of-15 in the first half for 116 yards and a touchdown.

Ryan connected with wide receiver Harry Douglas for a 76-yard touchdown in the second quarter that gave Atlanta a 10-3 lead at halftime.

Matt Bryant kicked two field goals for the defending NFC South-champion Falcons, who lost to Miami last week 28-23 despite taking a 17-0 lead behind Ryan.

Chris Redman threw for 76 yards on 10-of-14 passing against the Jaguars, while rookie Jacquizz Rodgers rushed for 39 yards on seven carries. Michael Turner also had seven rushes for 14 yards.

Blaine Gabbert completed 11-of-23 passes for 96 yards for Jacksonville, which was routed by New England 47-12 last week, while McCown was 8-of-9 for 86 yards.

These teams will meet again in Atlanta during Week 15 of the regular season for a Thursday night game.
