Bills beat Jaguars in overtime

Aug 28, 2011 - 3:21 AM Orchard Park, NY (Sports Network) - Rian Lindell's 40-yard field goal in overtime gave the Bills a 35-32 preseason victory over the Jaguars.

Levi Brown led the 11-play game-winning drive and went 3-for-5 on the drive for 24 yards. Tyler Thigpen played most of the second half and went 12-for-28 for 101 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions in the second half.

Ryan Fitzpatrick was stellar in his first-half performance. He completed his first 11 passes, including a 52-yard strike to Steve Johnson, and finished 11- of-12 through the air.

Johnson caught four passes for 76 yards and Fred Jackson totaled 66 yards of offense for Buffalo.

David Garrard played into the third quarter for Jacksonville and completed 11- of-21 passes for 106 yards. He also rushed for nine yards and a score.

Blaine Gabbert, the 10th overall pick in the draft, went 6-for-13 for 52 yards for the remainder of the game. He recorded a touchdown and an interception.

Trailing 32-24 late in the fourth quarter, Jaguars running back DuJuan Harris fumbled as the Jaguars were trying to run out the clock and the Bills recovered the ball at Jacksonville's 33.

A 19-yard completion to Paul Hubbard and an eight-yard run by Bruce Hall put the Bills at the six-yard line. On 4th-and-goal, Thigpen completed a touchdown pass to Hubbard and another catch by Hubbard on a two-point conversion sent the game into overtime.

Gabbert orchestrated a 13-play drive that ended in a missed 53-yard field goal by Josh Scobee to start the overtime period, and Brown took the Bills down the field for the win.
