Dolphins still searching for first win of season

Oct 7, 2007 - 10:27 AM Miami (0-4) at Houston (2-2) Sunday 1:00 pm EDTHOUSTON (Ticker) - The Miami Dolphins again look to give coachCam Cameron his first win when they visit the Houston Texans onSunday.It has been a disappointing start for the Dolphins, who are oneof three winless teams along with St. Louis (0-4) and NewOrleans (0-3). Miami is hoping to avoid its first 0-5 startsince opening with six straight losses in 2004.A big part of the Dolphins' woes could be attributed to thestruggles of a defense which ranks 29th in the league, allowing29.8 points per game.Jason Taylor, the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year, has justone sack through four games. The defensive end had 13 1/2 lastseason to go along with two interceptions and nine forcedfumbles.In last Sunday's 35-17 home loss to the Oakland Raiders, theDolphins played without middle linebacker Zach Thomas(concussion).One of the few bright spots for the Dolphins has been runningback Ronnie Brown, who has consective 100-yard games. In thelast two games, he has accounted for 418 yards (211 rushing, 207receiving) and four touchdowns.After getting off to the first 2-0 start in franchise history,the Texans have suffered back-to-back losses to the IndianapolisColts and Atlanta Falcons.The Texans are hoping to have wide receiver Andre Johnson backfor the this game. He has missed the last two contests with aknee injury.Running back Ahman Green, who missed last Sunday's 26-16 loss toAtlanta, also may return to the lineup.Texans quarterback Matt Schaub should be salivating at getting achance to face the Dolphins' reeling defense. He has completed74 percent (91-of-123) of his passes for 1,005 yards and fivetouchdowns with three interceptions on the season.
