Brady stays hot in win over Bengals

Oct 16, 2016 - 10:47 PM Playing his first game in Foxborough since the end of his 'Deflategate' suspension, Tom Brady produced three touchdown passes to tick over 5,000 career completions as New England beat Cincinnati 35-17 on Sunday.

Brady finished 29 for 35 for 376 yards, tight end Rob Gronkowski with seven receptions for a career-high 162 yards and a touchdown for thge Patriots who moved to 5-1.

Cincinnati dropped to 2-4 for the first time since 2010, when it finished 4-12 - their worst season under coach Marvin Lewis.

The Bengals had their moments offensively, scoring on a 2-yard touchdown run by Andy Dalton and 5-yard pass from Dalton to Brandon LaFell. Dalton finished 21 of 31 for 254 yards and the touchdown.

Elsewhere, Wil Lutz kicked a 52-yard field goal with 11 seconds left and quarterback Drew Brees riddled a young Carolina secondary for 465 yards and four touchdowns to power the New Orleans Saints to a 41-38 victory over the Panthers.

Brees, who completed 34-of-49 passes for his NFL-record 15th 400-yard passing game, drove New Orleans 41 yards in 11 plays to set up the game-winning kick.

LeSean McCoy rushed for 140 yards and three touchdowns for the Buffalo Bills in a 45-16 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Colin Kaepernick completed 13 of 29 passes for 187 yards and a touchdown in his first start since November 1, 2015.

Kirk Cousins threw a pair of touchdown passes and the Washington Redskins won their fourth straight, 27-20 over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jay Ajayi rushed for a career-high 204 yards on 25 carries as the Miami Dolphins upset the Pittsburgh Steelers 30-15.

Arrelious Benn caught a 51-yard touchdown pass from Blake Bortles with 2:49 remaining as the Jacksonville Jaguars mounted a come-from-behind 17-16 road win over the Chicago Bears.

Matthew Stafford threw four touchdown passes and Matt Prater kicked a tie-breaking 34-yard field goal with 1:29 remaining to give the Detroit Lions a 31-28 win over the Los Angeles Rams.

New York quarterback Eli Manning threw three touchdown passes, two of which were deep balls to receiver Odell Beckham Jr., as the Giants snapped a three-game losing streak with a 27-23 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Marcus Mariota threw three touchdown passes as the Tennessee Titans held on for a 28-26 win over Cleveland.

Meanwhile, Matt Prater made a tie-breaking, 34-yard field goal with 1:29 left and Rafael Bush followed with a victory-sealing interception two plays later, giving the Detroit Lions a 31-28 win over the Los Angeles Rams.
