NFL Note - Denver Broncos Booker, Devontae
Jul 28, 2017 - 6:01 AM RB Devontae Booker will undergo surgery on July 28 for a fractued wrist, an injury suffered in OTAs, although he played through it. He will be out 6 to 8 weeks, an absence that could have been avoided if he had told the team in June. Despite that, coach Vance Joseph said he wasn't upset that he didn't learn of the injury earlier, and maintained that Booker did not hide the injury from team medical personnel. "No, he didn't hide it. It was a football nick, he thought; it wasn't anything serious," Joseph said. "He went home for the summer, he couldn't bench press, he came back, we X-ray'd it and it was fractured. He can play with this, but the concern is his long-term health. That bone can die and his hand can be messed up forever, so we didn't want that for the kid."No one has shouted yet.
