NFL Note - Seattle Seahawks Brock, Tramaine

Aug 17, 2017 - 2:11 AM CB Tramaine Brock signed a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks, the team announced Wednesday. Brock is expected to compete with Jeremy Lane and rookie Shaquill Griffin for the open spot opposite cornerback Richard Sherman. Last year's starter DeShawn Shead resides on the physically unable to perform list as he recovers from a knee injury sustained in the divisional round of the playoffs. The San Francisco 49ers released Brock on April 7, less than 24 hours following his arrest on charges of suspicion of felony domestic violence and child endangerment. Those charges were dismissed two days later as the Santa Clara District Attorney's office determined that there was insufficient evidence to proceed with the case because the alleged victim declined to cooperate. The 5-10, 197-pound Brock, who started all 31 games he played for the 49ers over the past two seasons, recorded 59 tackles, an interception and 14 passes defensed in 2016.
