NFL Note - Los Angeles Chargers Verrett, Jason
Sep 21, 2017 - 9:32 AM CB Jason Verrett not being available the first three weeks was among the more disappointing aspects of the team's stumble from the gate. Verrett is a shutdown corner with a Pro Bowl on his resume, but he has difficulty staying on the field. He missed 12 games last year with a knee injury that has sidelined him this year. In 2014, after being a first-round pick, Verrett had shoulder issues that cost him 10 games. Coach Anthony Lynn said Verrett has been different since camp. "I don't see yet a guy changing direction and moving around like I used to," he said. Lynn provided no timetable for Verrett's return. No one has shouted yet.
