Bucs-Rams concludes after lightning delay
Sep 21, 2017 - 7:48 PM TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Los Angeles Rams game on Sunday was delayed by lightning for 69 minutes, with a nearby strike emptying the field and stands, even at a crucial moment in a close game. The teams both went to their locker rooms, and fans were required to seek shelter under covered areas or in concourses.
Heavy rains fell during much of the time the game was suspended.
The Rams, leading 37-32, had a third-and-11 at their own 5-yard line at the two-minute warning when play was halted. The Bucs got the ball back for a final drive that ended at the Los Angeles 5.
