NFL Note - San Francisco 49ers Beathard, C.J.
Oct 16, 2017 - 6:39 AM QB C.J. Beathard replaced starter Brian Hoyer in the second quarter on Sunday. With the 49ers trailing 26-17, they answered with a 45-yard touchdown pass from Beathard to Aldrick Robinson with 1:58 left, but Washington recovered the onside kick. Beathard came on to rally the 49ers and finished 19 of 36 for 245 yards, one touchdown, and the interception. "He was cool, calm and collected like he'd been out there before," running back Carlos Hyde said of Beathard. "(He) went out there, went through his reads and did what he's supposed to do." Coach Kyle Shanahan said after the game that Beathard will remain the starter.No one has shouted yet.
