But had the Steelers lost the game he might have been viewed as the goat. If the ball didn't take a fortuitous bounce into his hands on the 51-yard touchdown -- after Kansas City cornerback Phillip Gaines bobbled a sure interception -- the spotlight would have been on Brown for making two mistakes early in the game.
