NFL Note - Indianapolis Colts Luck, Andrew
Oct 19, 2017 - 10:07 AM QB Andrew Luck is being shut down due to soreness in his surgically repaired right shoulder. Luck, who has yet to take a snap this season and only recently returned to practice, is without a timetable for his return. "The doctors and the trainers have decided to give him a cortisone shot to kind of take away some of that inflammation that's been happening," Colts general manager Chris Ballard told reporters. "He'll continue to rehab. We're just going to shut down the throwing right now to get this thing calmed back down." Ballard emphasized that Luck was not being shut down for the season and there are no plans to place him on season-ending injured reserve. He said he doesn't expect his franchise quarterback to be out of practice long.No one has shouted yet.
