Oct 20, 2017 - 8:10 AM QB C.J. Beathard will shoot for QB Tom Owen's rookie passing-yardage record when he makes his first NFL start Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. Beathard replaced QB Brian Hoyer in the second quarter of last week's loss at Washington and led a comeback with 245 yards and a touchdown. The 49ers' franchise record for passing yards in a game by a rookie is 316, set by Owen against the Chicago Bears in 1974.No one has shouted yet.
