NFL Note - Chicago Bears McManis, Sherrick
Nov 17, 2017 - 7:47 AM DB Sherrick McManis (hamstring) went through a full practice Thursday and is expected to be available on Sunday against Detroit. McManis' return will benefit special teams greatly, especially on coverage units. McManis hasn't played since the Bears' 27-24 win Oct. 15 at Baltimore. He had been replaced by DeAndre Houston-Carson on special teams, and Houston-Carson had eight special teams tackles the last three games. As a result, special teams coordinator Jeff Rodgers said Houston-Carson likely will continue having a big role on coverage units. No one has shouted yet.
