Patriots WR Hogan expected to play vs. Dolphins

Dec 12, 2017 - 12:33 AM New England Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan is expected to play in Monday's game against the host Miami Dolphins following a four-game absence due to a shoulder injury.

Hogan, who officially was listed as questionable, traveled with the team on Sunday and was not named among the seven inactive players for the Patriots (10-2).

The 29-year-old has been sidelined since New England's 21-13 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 29.

The return of Hogan could help aid in the Patriots' loss of tight end Rob Gronkowski, who will serve a one-game suspension on Monday for his hit to the back of the head of Buffalo rookie cornerback Tre'Davious White on Dec. 3.

Hogan has recorded 33 receptions for 438 yards and five touchdowns in eight games this season.

The Patriots carry an eight-game winning streak into Hard Rock Stadium to face the Dolphins (5-7).

New England listed offensive tackles Marcus Cannon and Cole Croston, defensive end Trey Flowers, running back Mike Gillislee, linebackers Kyle Van Noy and David Harris as well as defensive back Brandon King as inactive.

Miami running back Damien Williams was listed as inactive for the second straight game with a shoulder injury.

Williams was joined on the inactive list by quarterback Matt Moore, cornerback Cordrea Tankersley, defensive end Cameron Malveaux, tight end A.J. Derby and offensive guards Isaac Asiata and Jermon Bushrod.
