Giants S Collins (ankle) ruled out vs. Eagles

Dec 17, 2017 - 7:53 PM EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants safety Landon Collins has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles after apparently tweaking his ankle.

Collins, who was listed as doubtful this week after aggravating a left ankle injury last Sunday in a loss to the Dallas Cowboys, managed to convince the team's medical and coaching staffs that he would be good to go Sunday.

However, Collins appeared to tweak the ankle midway through the second quarter. He went to the sideline to get it re-taped, but the team apparently thought better of trying to send him back out there and declared him out for the rest of the game.

The Giants, who came into this game with Nat Berhe (hamstring) inactive, added Ryan Murphy from their practice squad to provide depth at safety. Murphy and Andrew Adams rotated into the game in place of Collins.
