Jaguars RB Fournette (quad) inactive vs. Texans

Dec 17, 2017 - 5:35 PM Jacksonville Jaguars starting running back Leonard Fournette was declared inactive for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans because of a quad injury.

Fournette, who suffered the injury in the third quarter of last Sunday's victory over Seattle, did not practice all week and was listed as questionable on Friday. He stayed in the game against the Seahawks and finished with 101 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Fournette is second among rookies in rushing and seventh overall in the NFL this season with 923 yards, along with eight rushing touchdowns and one receiving score in 11 games. He missed one other game this season because of the ankle injury and also sat out a game because of a violation of team rules.

The Jaguars prepared backup Chris Ivory to start in Fournette's place.
