Early NFL Parlay and Best Bets: Week 12 (2021)

Turkey Day is nearly upon us as the NFL calendar turns to Week 12 and just six weeks remain between now and the 2021-22 playoffs. While some teams have already all but solidified their attendance, there is an abnormal amount of teams right in the middle still very much jockeying for position.

Let’s look at a few teams I think have value heading into Sunday and what their parlayed outs could pay us out.

Leg #1. Steelers ML | +165 at DK Sportsbook

There’s no such thing as moral wins in the NFL but the Steelers have to be feeling alright after Sunday night’s shootout in Los Angeles. Despite ultimately losing 37-41 via 4th quarter scoring drive from Justin Herbert, Ben Roethlisberger had three touchdowns (and zero INTs) on a day where we saw glimpses of the old Ben.

In fact, if the team had just one of TJ Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick, or Joe Haden, I think we not only see a Steelers win but a decisive one at that. Now not only getting all three back but drawing a Bengals team who has lost two of three and is historically terrible against the Steelers, I like for the Steelers to get it done here.

Leg #2. Panthers -2 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

The triumphant first start in the return of Cam Newton was stalled Sunday vs. Washington, as the Panther’s defense failed to get critical stops late as they lost 21-27. In the loss, Newton threw for two TDs and ran for a third, as the veteran was asked to do almost everything in his return.

In this one, I like for Superman to get help from his sidekick in Christian McCaffrey who was held to just 59 yards and zero touchdowns last week. Facing a Miami team who might be feeling themselves a bit following three straight wins, I also like for the Panther’s defense to respond well to last week’s mess.

Leg #3. Ravens -4 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

In this week’s Sunday Night Football matchup, the AFC North will go at it in Baltimore when two top rush attacks square off. For the Ravens, the return of Lamar Jackson will be a sight for sore eyes as the team narrowly avoided disaster last week in Chicago without him.

In this one, I like for Baker Mayfield to get the pressure he was able to avoid last week vs. Detroit, and respond how he’s done so all year; poorly. Expect for the third loss in five games to be the beginning of the end for Mayfield at the helm in Cleveland.
