The reigning Super Bowl Champion Buccaneers took another step towards getting back on track Monday night in their blowout win over the New York Giants. Following a rough start, the Colts have now won three straight and five of their last six, as the hunt for the AFC South is starting to heat up.

Overview

In the two losses the Colts have had since the start of October, both were against AFC-leading teams (Ravens and Titans), and both required overtime to put them away. While their defense remains an area of concern, especially through the air, the Colts’ offense is led by emerging MVP candidate Jonathan Taylor.

Coming off of one of the best offensive performances anyone has had this season (4 touchdowns, 185 yards), the Colts run into a challenge in this one facing the top rushing defense in the league. To this point in the season, the Bucs are allowing an average of just 78.4 yards per game which ranks #1 in the league.

The aforementioned Colts’ defense is up for a big challenge as well, in the form of trying to slow down the league’s #1 passing attacking currently averaging 314.8 yards per game. Additionally, following the return of TE Rob Gronkowski last week, the Bucs also might be welcoming back WR Antonio Brown for this one.

Bottom Line

Since opening up at -2.5, the Bucs quickly shot up to -3 and I think for good reason. All the things the Colts have leaned on during this run, the Bucs do amongst the best in the league.

While Wentz has played well, a shootout vs. the GOAT isn’t something I see him as up for.
