2022 NFL Division Winners: BettingPros Staff Picks
May 9, 2022 - 4:10 AMThe dust has settled on the 2022 NFL Draft, and sportsbooks have begun the process of updating their NFL odds based on the results. This ended up being one of the more memorable NFL Drafts in recent history, with several trades shaking up NFL rosters and just one quarterback (Pitt’s Kenny Pickett) being selected in the first round.
The 2022 NFL Division Winner Odds have shifted somewhat in the wake of the NFL Draft, and they’re likely to continue moving throughout the offseason. For an in-depth look at what each team did in the NFL Draft, Andrew Erickson provided grades for all 32 teams.
As for the division winners and the odds, our very own Matthew Freedman, Pat Fitzmaurice, Andrew Erickson, and Derek Brown took an early look at the lines and made their picks based on what we currently know about each team.

Miami Dolphins | 400 |
New England Patriots | 400 |
New York Jets | 2000 |
Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills are the most complete team in the AFC and should approach 13 wins this season. They went 6-1 versus divisional opponents last season, losing once to the Patriots in the bizarre windy weather conditions. Cash the -175 and move on.

Baltimore Ravens"}">Baltimore Ravens | 200 |
Cincinnati Bengals | 210 |
Cleveland Browns | 185 |
Pittsburgh Steelers | 1000 |
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens averaged 11.6 wins in their previous three seasons and were ravaged by injuries on both sides of the ball last year. With so much talent coming back from injury and from the 2022 NFL Draft, Baltimore at +225 to win the AFC North feels like stealing. Pittsburgh ain’t it with a rookie quarterback, and a Deshaun Watson suspension likely knocks Cleveland out of contention.
Cincy is the real threat, but I’d bet Baltimore won’t be out-scored by 82-38 in their two matchups in 2022.

Best Odds: +225 at DraftKings Sportsbook

Houston Texans | 2500 |
Indianapolis Colts | EVEN |
Jacksonville Jaguars | 650 |
Tennessee Titans"}">Tennessee Titans | 150 |
Tennesee Titans
The Jaguars and Texans have not shot, so it’s a two-horse race between the Colts and Titans. The Colts are even-money favorites. The Colts have the more attractive roster, but I prefer the Titans at +150 because I think Mike Vrabel is a better coach than Frank Reich.
– Pat Fitzmaurice

TEAM | CONSENSUS ODDS |
Denver Broncos | 260 |
Kansas City Chiefs"}">Kansas City Chiefs | 155 |
Las Vegas Raiders | 675 |
Los Angeles Chargers | 240 |
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs have won the AFC West in each of the last six seasons, averaging 12 regular-season wins over that stretch. They’re still the class of the division, but because the Chargers, Broncos and Raiders have all made splashy offseason moves, the Chiefs’ odds are more appealing than they should be. I see value betting them at +160.
– Pat Fitzmaurice

Dallas Cowboys | EVEN |
New York Giants | 700 |
Philadelphia Eagles"}">Philadelphia Eagles | 250 |
Washington Commanders | 450 |
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles have put on a master class this offseason. Add A.J. Brown to the offense will grab the headlines, but there’s a laundry list of other moves that have positioned this team to improve in 2022. Resigning Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox and drafting Cam Jurgens and Jordan Davis ensures the team has the stud starters back, future successors, and worthwhile depth for this season. The same can be said for them retaining Derek Barnett and bringing in Haason Reddick to fortify the pass rush. With another year of seasoning for Jalen Hurts and an improved roster surrounding him, the Eagles should soar to the division title.

TEAM | CONSENSUS ODDS |
Chicago Bears | 900 |
Detroit Lions"}">Detroit Lions | 1200 |
Green Bay Packers | -177 |
Minnesota Vikings | 275 |
Detroit Lions
This is a disgusting bet, but the Lions have improved over the past two seasons, whereas the Bears and Vikings have arguably stagnated or declined. The Lions might actually now be the No. 2 team in the division — and the Packers could struggle more than expected on offense, as left tackle David Bakhtiari missed all but one game last year with a knee injury and wide receivers Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling are gone. The Packers should be significantly favored and will likely win the division, but the Lions should have a number closer to +800.
– Matthew Freedman
Best Odds: +1400 at FOX Bet
NFC South
TEAM | CONSENSUS ODDS |
Atlanta Falcons | 1600 |
Carolina Panthers | 900 |
New Orleans Saints"}">New Orleans Saints | 500 |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | -303 |
New Orleans Saints
The Saints have one of the best defenses in football and are 4-1 against the Buccaneers with quarterback Tom Brady. Head coach Sean Payton is gone, but they will get back wide receiver Michael Thomas and have added wide receiver Chris Olave and tackle Trevor Penning. If the Saints can beat the Buccaneers twice this year, they could steal the division, and +500 is far too large of a number for what’s likely to come down to a two-team race.
– Matthew Freedman
Best Odds: +500 at FanDuel Sportsbook

TEAM | CONSENSUS ODDS |
Arizona Cardinals | 325 |
Los Angeles Rams | 140 |
San Francisco 49ers"}">San Francisco 49ers | 190 |
Seattle Seahawks | 1600 |
San Francisco 49ers
After stumbling out of the gate, the 49ers were on fire down the stretch last season, posting an 8-3 record over their final 11 games. Assuming Deebo Samuel isn’t moved (or holds out), the 49ers return the same cast of characters that led to them ranking fifth in offensive DVOA (per Football Outsiders). The front office also improved the pass rush and on the back end with the additions of Drake Jackson and Charvarius Ward. With the Seattle Seahawks mailing this season in and the Cardinals losing DeAndre Hopkins for six games, this division is a two-team race.
