2022 NFL Futures: Best Team Win Totals Bets Odds & Picks

Jun 16, 2022 - 10:51 AM

While the 2022 NFL season is still a few months away, there is no such thing as the offseason for fans and sports bettors. Taking advantage of early-season team win totals is an excellent way to fill your pockets with cash. Usually, the over/under totals are appropriate, and there isn’t a clear side to bet. However, these four team win totals are an excellent value for bettors.

Early Best Bets for Super Bowl 57 >>

Minnesota Vikings Over 9 Wins (-115)

Several things didn’t go right for the Vikings last season. The defense struggled, giving up at least 27 points in 58.8% of the games. Furthermore, Dalvin Cook scored only six touchdowns last year after averaging 15 per season the previous two years. More importantly, the Vikings lost nine games last year by eight or fewer points. With the change of head coach from Mike Zimmer to Kevin O’Connell, the Vikings will have a more explosive and dangerous offense. Despite a struggling defense, inconsistent offense, and plenty of bad luck, the Vikings went 8-9 last season. Even if the Vikings lose both matchups to Green Bay Packers, they should easily tack on another win or two from last year’s total.

New Orleans Saints Over 8 Wins (-135)

For the Saints’ over/under win total to be only eight is laughable. Not only did they win both matchups against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season, but the Saints also won nine games. Furthermore, they would have made the playoffs last year if the Los Angeles Rams didn’t give up a Week 18 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. More importantly, they won nine games last year despite starting four different quarterbacks. Jameis Winston should be ready for Week 1 after leading the team with five wins as the starter last year. With the return of a healthy Michael Thomas and the additions of Chris Olave, Jarvis Landry, Tyrann Mathieu, and Marcus Maye, the Saints will win double-digit games in 2022.

Chicago Bears Under 6.5 Wins (-120)

The future is bright for the Bears and their fans. While they can see the light at the end of the tunnel, the light won’t arrive till 2023. The Bears underwent several changes this offseason, firing their head coach and general manager. They also moved on from several veterans over the past few months, including Khalil Mack, Allen Robinson, Eddie Goldman, and Akiem Hicks. However, the Bears didn’t replace any of those players with a veteran, instead opting for a youth movement.

Meanwhile, the rest of the division improved this offseason. Chicago won six games last year despite a veteran squad. While Justin Fields should have a solid 2022 season, he won’t lead the Bears to seven wins.

New York Giants Under 7 Wins (-125)

Last year was a disaster for the Giants as their season was highlighted by a quarterback sneak call near their own goal line. They won the second-fewest games in the conference despite making several massive free-agent signings last offseason. While there is hope for the team after they hired Brian Daboll as their new head coach, the roster is in the middle of a rebuilding process. The offensive line will be better after using a first-round pick on Evan Neal. However, the receiving core is loaded with injury-prone players, and Daniel Jones is entering the final year of his rookie contract and lacks an excellent supporting cast. While they are heading in the right direction, the Giants will end the 2022 season with a bottom three record.
