NFL Week 4 Touchdown Scorer Prop Bets: Sunday Night Football (Chiefs vs. Buccaneers)

Kansas City Chiefs First TD Scorer: Travis Kelce (+320)

The Kansas City passing attack flows through the All-Pro tight end. Kelce has been Patrick Mahomes’ go-to receiver this season, leading the team in targets (24), receptions (17), receiving yards (230), and touchdowns (two). Furthermore, the veteran tight end has scored the first touchdown for the Chiefs in two of their three games this season, including last week. Meanwhile, Kelce has never scored a touchdown in three career matchups against the Buccaneers. However, he has averaged nine receptions on 11.5 targets in the two matchups against Tampa Bay with Mahomes under center. As the focal point of the Kansas City passing attack, Kelce is the most likely candidate to score the team’s first touchdown.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers First TD Scorer: Mike Evans (+360)

While the Buccaneers have only three offensive touchdowns this season, all three have been passing touchdowns, going to three different receivers. One went to Evans, while the other two went to Breshad Perriman and Russell Gage. However, Evans is the most favored of the three this week. He scored the first touchdown in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys. Then Evans was ejected in Week 2 after a fight with Marshon Lattimore and suspended for Week 3. Meanwhile, the Chiefs have given up three touchdowns to wide receivers this season. With the rest of the receiving core dealing with injuries, Evans should see plenty of targets on Tampa Bay’s opening drive.

Anytime TD Scorer: Leonard Fournette (-115)

Tampa Bay’s offense has been limited this season because of injuries. However, Fournette has played well this season. He is averaging 19 rushing attempts for 75.7 yards per game. While he hasn’t found the end zone yet, Fournette has seven red zone touches this season. More importantly, the veteran running back has accounted for 74% of Tampa Bay’s rushing attempts. He is also second on the team in receptions with nine. Meanwhile, the Chiefs have given up two touchdowns to running backs this season. While he hasn’t scored a touchdown yet this season, Fournette is a critical part of the offense and should find the end zone tonight.

Anytime TD Scorer: Cameron Brate (+390)

Usually, I give an anytime touchdown scorer for both teams. However, there isn’t a good touchdown scoring prop bet on the Chiefs besides Kelce. Instead, let’s go with a bit of a long-shot candidate. Brate has taken over as the starting tight end in Tampa Bay with Rob Gronkowski retired (at least for now). Last week the veteran tight end played 89% of the snaps and saw six targets, the second-most on the team. Meanwhile, the Chiefs have given up three touchdowns to tight ends this season, the second-most in the NFL, including two to Jelani Woods last week. If Chris Godwin and Julio Jones miss tonight’s game, Brate has a fair chance to find the end zone.
