Another New York Giants coach could be on the move in 2023.

Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network is reporting that Giants quarterbacks coach Shea Tierney will interview to be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next offensive coordinator.

Tierney, 36, has been steadily working his way up the coaching ladder since 2011 when he was a graduate assistant for North Carolina State. He has been coaching under Brian Daboll since 2017, when he was an offensive analyst for Alabama when Daboll was their offensive coordinator. He then followed Daboll to the Buffalo Bills, where he was an offensive assistant (2018 and 2019), and assistant quarterbacks coach (2020 and 2021).

Tierney quickly followed Daboll to be the Giants and was hired on Feb. 2, just a few days after Daboll was hired to be the Giants’ head coach.

Tierney is the third Giants’ coach to interview for a promotion. Offensive coordinator Mike Kafka has interviewed twice for the Houston Texans, as well as for the Indianapolis Colts and Carolina Panthers. Defensive coordinator Wink Martindale will have his second interview with the Indianapolis Colts this weekend.

The Giants could once again find themselves in a coaching search if all three men are hired away from New York.
