Turnovers help Rhein beat Frankfurt

May 12, 2007 - 10:44 PM DUSSELDORF, Germany (Ticker) -- Linebackers Jamar Enzor and Blake Costanzo helped the Rhein Fire overcome a 10-point deficit.

Enzor scored on a 65-yard interception return after an interception by Costanzo set up another score as the Fire posted a 27-24 victory over the Frankfurt Galaxy.

Frankfurt (3-2) totaled 423 yards to Rhein's 234, but was hurt by three turnovers, two of which resulted in 13 points.

Costanzo intercepted a pass by J.T. O'Sullivan and returned it 33 yards to the Frankfurt 45. After Cody Pickett hit P.K. Sam with a 10-yard pass, Taurean Henderson scored on a one-yard run with 11:13 left in the fourth quarter to give Rhein a 20-17 lead.

Just 1:27 later, Enzor picked off a pass by O'Sullivan and raced 65 yards for a score to increase the lead to 27-17.

Henderson scored on a five-yard run 2:52 into the game. But Rhein (2-3) scored the next 17 points.

Chris Laskowski raced 62 yards for a touchdown on a fake punt with 10:43 left in the first quarter to tie the game.

The Galaxy took the lead eight seconds into the second quarter when O'Sullivan connected with Jermaine Johnson on a 12-yard scoring play.

Rhys Lloyd kicked a 37-yard field goal with 10:16 left in the third quarter to increase Frankfurt's lead to 17-7.

Cody Pickett hit Sam with an eight-yard touchdown pass with 2:39 left in the third quarter to pull the Fire within 17-14.
