Dec 4, 2011 - 8:12 AM
San Jose, CA (Sports Network) - Tomas Fleischmann had a goal and two assists, as Florida downed San Jose, 5-3, on Saturday.

Stephen Weiss, Marco Sturm, Jack Skille and Dmitry Kulikov also scored for the Panthers, who split a four-game road trip.

Scott Clemmensen made 23 saves in the win.

"We're getting better and better as the season's coming along," Panthers defenseman Brian Campbell said.

Logan Couture had a pair of goals for the Sharks, who have dropped three of four.

Jamie McGinn also scored, while Thomas Greiss made 30 saves in defeat.

"It's disappointing that we couldn't show up tonight for this game," said Couture.

The Sharks led 2-1 after the opening period, as Couture and McGinn sandwiched goals around Weiss' power play tally, but they couldn't maintain the advantage.

The Panthers struck with three straight second period goals to grab the lead.

Sturm initiated the surge, capitalizing on a Sharks turnover with a backhand past Greiss.

Fleischmann and Skille added wristers to give Florida a 4-2 lead at the second intermission.

Couture beat Clemmensen on the power play at the 13:39 mark of the third, but Kulikov answered with a power play tally of his own with 1:35 left to cap the scoring.
