Blue Jackets down Coyotes for first three-game win streak

Mar 7, 2012 - 2:44 AM Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - Jack Johnson scored his first goal as a Blue Jacket and added an assist as Columbus edged the Phoenix Coyotes, 3-2, on Tuesday at Nationwide Arena.

R.J. Umberger and Derek MacKenzie scored for the Blue Jackets, who have won three consecutive games for the first time this year. Steve Mason was spectacular in net, stopping 38-of-40 shots in the victory.

Antoine Vermette and Keith Yandle scored for the Coyotes, who have dropped four straight contests. Mike Smith got the start in net for Phoenix and was pulled after giving up two goals on just seven shots. Jason LaBarbera stopped 24-of-25 in relief.
