Jones helps Oilers take down Jackets

Mar 25, 2012 - 10:11 PM Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - Ryan Jones finished with a goal and two assists and the Edmonton Oilers used a five-goal second period to subdue the Columbus Blue Jackets, 6-3, on Sunday at Nationwide Arena.

Chris Vandevelde, Ladislav Smid, Ben Eager, Eric Belanger and Sam Gagner all scored, while Jordan Eberle, Ryan Whitney and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins added two assists apiece for the Oilers, who have won three of four. Devan Dubnyk made 29 saves in the victory.

Mark Letestu, Derick Brassard and Rick Nash scored for the Blue Jackets, who have lost two of their last three contests. Steve Mason was tagged for five goals on 26 shots in defeat.
