Two disappointing clubs meet when Flyers host Senators

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Two clubs who have underachieved this season meet when the Philadelphia Flyers host the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.

Philadelphia has lost seven straight games and has only scored 11 times in those losses.

The Flyers' latest defeat was a 4-2 decision to the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday. Mike Knuble and Jeff Carter scored the goals for Philadelphia on the power play.

Ottawa, which finished first in the Eastern Conference last season, is last in the Northeast Division and is ranked 12th in the conference.

The Senators have dropped three of four, including a 4-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday.

Antoine Vermette and Dany Heatley scored for Ottawa, which managed only 18 shots.

Heatley has been one of the lone bright spots for the Senators this season with 20 goals. The right wing has two goals and three assists in his current three-game points streak.
