Red Wings visit Wild in second meeting of three in six days

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (Ticker) -- The Detroit Red Wings and Minnesota Wild will be getting to know each other over the holidays.

The teams meet Saturday in the second game of a stretch where they play against each other three times in six days.

The Red Wings took the opener on Friday, 3-1. Henrik Zetterberg, Daniel Cleary and Nicklas Lidstrom scored for Detroit, which only fired 25 shots at Minnesota goaltender Manny Fernandez.

Detroit netminder Dominik Hasek was busier than usual, facing a season-high 35 shots. The only shot he did not stop was Stephane Veilleux's goal at 14:50 of the first period.

Hasek, who won a Stanley Cup championship with the Red Wings in 2002 before leaving for Ottawa, leads the league with a 1.85 goals-against average. "The Dominator" also leads the NHL with five shutouts this season.

Lidstrom is tied for fourth among defensemen with six goals and 30 points. Cleary, who only had three goals in 77 games last season, has 14 already this season in just 34 games.

The Wild, who have lost four of their last five games, host Detroit on December 26.
