Crosby, Penguins aim to end three-game skid vs. Devils

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins have concerns on and off the ice.

The Penguins will try to snap their three-game losing streak when they pay a visit to the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday.

After not receiving a gaming license Wednesday to help build a new arena, owner and Hall of Famer Mario Lemieux has been forced to consider relocation for his club.

On December 15, businessman Jim Balsillie pulled out of an agreement to buy the Penguins for a reported $175 million.

Goaltender Jocelyn Thibault allowed two goals during a shootout as Pittsburgh suffered a 4-3 defeat to the Atlanta Thrashers on Thursday.

Crosby, who leads the league with 55 points, forced overtime with 15 seconds left.

Zach Parise scored two goals in the first period for the Devils in Saturday's 5-2 setback in Atlanta.

Parise has three goals in his last two contests, but has been held without a point against the Penguins this season.

New Jersey has lost three straight games here since winning seven in a row.
