Blues riding high with three-game winning streak

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The St. Louis Blues haven't won four games in a row in almost three years, and they'll have to topple an old nemesis to do so.

The Blues on Tuesday visit the Nashville Predators, a team they have not beaten in their last 11 meetings. St. Louis is 0-8-3 in the series since last beating Nashville on April 3, 2004.

Two of those losses each were by one goal earlier this month. The Predators rallied from a two-goal deficit for a 3-2 shootout victory at home on December 16 and followed that up the next night with a 2-1 overtime victory in St. Louis.

Nashville is coming off one of its most impressive performances of the season, a 7-0 battering of the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night.

Jason Arnott, J.P. Dumont and David Legwand scored two goals each in the rout, marking the first time in franchise history that three players tallied twice apiece in the same game.

St. Louis is also coming off a strong effort, beating the Buffalo Sabres, 3-2, behind a pair of goals by Bill Guerin, including the game-winner in overtime.

Guerin has 15 goals on the season and looks to lead the Blues to their first four-game winning streak since March 25-30, 2004.
