Cleary, Red Wings host Kings

DETROIT (Ticker) - The Detroit Red Wings have probably seen enough of the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Minnesota Wild lately. They finally get a different opponent when they host the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday.

The Red Wings went 4-1-1 in a set of six straight games against the Blue Jackets and the Wild, including a 7-4 victory at Columbus on Friday. Daniel Cleary led the Red Wings with the hat trick while Pavel Datsyuk added two goals and an assist.

Dominik Hasek got a rare night off and Chris Osgood filled in, making 21 saves for the Red Wings, who also got a goal and an assist from Henrik Zetterberg.

The Kings had a two-game win streak snapped in a 6-4 loss to the Calgary Flames on Friday.

Los Angeles trailed, 5-2, with just 38 seconds left but Craig Conroy and Lubomir Visnovsky scored 30 seconds apart to slice the margin to 5-4 before Calgary's Kristian Huselius scored his second empty-net goal to finally clinch the win.

Visnovsky had two goals and an assist while Alexander Frolov had a goal and two assists for Los Angeles. Rookie goaltender Barry Brust allowed four goals on 28 shots.
