Wild seek fourth straight win vs. Oilers

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (Ticker) -- After a terrific start to their home schedule, the Minnesota Wild have hit a minor bump in the road.

The Wild look for their fourth consecutive victory overall and seventh in their last 10 games when they face the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday for the second time in five days.

Minnesota has lost its last two home contests to the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Colorado Avalanche. The Wild are 17-4-2 at home and trail the Calgary Flames by one for the league lead in home triumphs.

After opening a four-game road trip with a shutout loss to the Flames last Tuesday, the Wild have scored 13 goals in their last three wins, including Sunday's 4-3 shootout triumph over the Chicago Blackhawks.

Pavol Demitra netted the clincher and Marian Gaborik scored a shorthanded goal for Minnesota.

Gaborik had two goals and Brian Rolston netted his 23rd tally for the Wild in their last encounter with Edmonton, a 4-2 triumph on Friday.

The Oilers have lost four of their last six games and have slipped to last place in the Northwest Division. However, they are just six points behind first-place Calgary.

Edmonton yielded a pair of third-period goals in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Flames. Shawn Horcoff scored his eighth goal of the season and Alex Hemsky added his 25th assist.
